can we create DTP and load the target using virtualprovider in sap bw 7.4

Hi experts,

i have created calculation view in sap hana and used that view using virtualprovider in sap bw 7.4

later i created multiprovider on top of virtualprovider and loaded that view in bw target object which is hierarchy infoobject.

is it ok to do this or can we avoid creating multiprovider on top of virtualprovider and load data.

we tried by avoiding the multiprovider then we get 0 records loaded into target.

can some one pls help on this which is the best practice to do load the BW target object.
